Norfolk CCC hosted Lincolnshire CCC in a T20 double header on Sunday in front of a bumper crowd.

Norfolk only posted 117 for 9 but pushed Lincolnshire all the way with an excellent bowling and fielding display with the visitors getting home with just 4 balls to spare. Freddie Gosnall top scored with 48 before he was superbly run out by Alfie Cooper while Joe Everett impressed with 3 for 17.
Lincolnshire won the toss and asked Norfolk to bat first again in the second match.
A fantastic opening partnership from Freddie Fairey and Captain Sam Arthurton was the backbone of the innings. The pair put on 144 for the 1st wicket before Fairey was bowled for 70 from 62 balls. Arthurton played a very aggressive innings smashing 72 from just 44 balls before being caught off Keast, the first of his 3 victims. Alfie Cooper hit 2 sixes in a brief 8 ball cameo to finish 18 not out as Norfolk scored 176 for 4 from their 20 overs.
Lincolnshire captain Nick Keast (76) set about the reply in aggressive mood hitting 4 sixes and 11 fours before being spectacularly caught on the deep square leg boundary by Lewis Reeder. Reeder taking the catch in the air over the boundary, throwing it back inside the rope and then diving forward one handed, to pick up one of his three catches and the first of Callum Metcalf’s 3 wickets. Tight bowling from Joe Flatt before excellent death bowling from Joe Everett and Andy Hanby saw Norfolk win a tight encounter by 8 runs.
