Norfolk Lions Team News - Can Norfolk Win The Title?
For those of you unaware of yesterday’s EECDC results (Beds beat Suffolk and Norfolk Cambridgeshire) Bedfordshire have thus taken 7 points from four games, and Norfolk 6 points from four games while everyone else has 6 or less points and have finished their 2017 programme of matches. As a result NORFOLK v BEDFORDSHIRE at MANOR PARK on TUESDAY (5 September / 50 overs) will decide the destination of the EECDC title for this year.
Norfolk hope to put out a strong XI (see below) and if those with ‘media connections’ could give the game some pre-match build up I’d be most grateful.
For the record, Norfolk’s win at Saffron Walden yesterday saw the hosts recover from 29 for 5 to 182 (from 48.5 overs) (Tom Nudd 3 for 25, Joe Everett 3 for 29 and Luke Caswell 2 for 38) before, in a chase reduced to 35 overs owing to poor light, Norfolk replied with 139 for 5 (33.4 overs) (John Ewart 96 not out) to get to their revised target with 8 balls to spare and 5 wickets in hand.
